Performance analysis of wireless transmission of compressed images using DCT‐OFDMA system with different compression schemes

Transmitting images over an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Access (OFDMA) system poses a significant challenge. The process entails sending substantial amount of data, which consumes bandwidth. Consequently, compressing the transmitted image becomes essential to reduce required aim this paper is examine and analyse wireless transmission compressed via Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT-OFDMA). A comparison made with Fourier (DFT-OFDMA), across various subcarrier mapping schemes (localized inter-leaved), different modulation (16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (16QAM) Phase Shift Keying (QPSK)) using vehicular A, Stanford University Interim (SUI3), uniform channel models. To evaluate performance system, minimum Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) necessary recover calculated. This work considers nine standard compression techniques. results are carried out MATLAB simulator. According simulation results, SNR was found be 19 dB. result achieved when Transform-Loaclized-Orthogonal (DCT-LOFDMA) QPSK set partitioning in hierarchical trees (SPIHT) method SUI3 model. Moreover, it observed that DCT-LOFDMA DFT-IOFDMA systems attained equal while utilizing SPIHT_3D technique on Overall, suggest DCT-based localized OFDMA somewhat superior DFT-based OFDMA, particularly model scheme. Therefore, feasible transmit receive effectively DCT.
